Providing Services in One Location
Bremerton, WA - The Foundation for Homeless & Poverty Management has partnered with local state agencies and organizations to help provide services for the people surviving homelessness or living in poverty.
The Rejuvenation Community Day Center, a project that local legislators recently funded, opened its doors to help people fill out applications for rental assistance, housing, disability, SNAP/EBT benefits, and more. "We could have waited until we remodel the whole building, but we saw a need right outside our window that people needed help now." says Executive Director Drayton Jackson, "Although we have not told people we are here, all of our clients have been either a referral from another community agency that we are working with or word of mouth, and we wanted it to roll out slowly so we could get things in place to serve the community."

People can come to the day center to get help setting appointments for people to fill out applications, for interviews and being the liaison for people who are filing for disability and benefits through the Social Security Administration. Those that lack internet access can come to the day center and get signed up for EBT/SNAP benefits on WashingtonConnects and veterans will be able to get help with filing and interviews for their veterans benefits as well.
